Nine Composites Companies to be recognised at the 2013 JEC Innovation Awards Program

The inaugural JEC Americas Composites Show and Conferences on November 7th – 9th, 2012 will host JEC’s Innovation Awards Program and highlight the nine most cutting-edge advances to emerge from the world-wide composite industry this year.
The nine companies are:
Aeronautics Category: Hexcel HexMC: A technology based on a new form of discontinuous carbon fibre prepreg to produce structural parts by compression moulding
Automotive Category: Edison2 A new structural architecture for automobiles starting with the Edison2 In wheel suspension
Carbon Category: Chomarat Thin ply with bi-angle reinforcement in order to replace traditional black aluminium structures
Construction Category: MVC Soluções em Plasticos Schools built with sandwich panels of plastic reinforced to reduce construction period
Energy Category: MPD Designs Solar Floating Resort, the unique building integrated photovoltaic hospitality concept
Process Category: Swift Engineering A High-Speed Press Cure for a High-Speed Race Car
Recycling Category: Connora Technologies RecyclamineT epoxy hardener technology allows to design and produce fully recyclable epoxy-based composite products
Sports & Leisure Category: Cervélo Cycles The new Cervelo Rca road racing bicycle enhances racing bicycle performance
The Awards ceremony will take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on November 7th at 4:00 pm at the Agora 3 of the JEC Americas exhibition.
