Michael Effing launches his own company, AMAC, "Advanced Materials Advisory & Consultancy," based in Aachen, Germany.
With focus on the global lightweight construction industry, AMAC will offer services in three areas: Support for the creation and development of networks and clusters between universities and industrial companies to enable cooperation between research and business development to be aligned more effectively within the framework of interdisciplinary projects. Right from the start, AMAC will give support to Aachen´s famous Technical University, RWTH, in helping to build up their new institute "Aachen Center for Integrative Lightweight Construction" (AZL). The AZL demonstrates lightweight expertise in research and development, particularly in the representation of continuous process chains.
The second are will be training and education in the field of Sales & Marketing Excellence. Consulting and coaching in Marketing and Sales, Key Account Management, Sales Value Growth, Pricing Strategy or Project Management are among the services that AMAC offers in cooperation with its international partners such as Miller Heiman, Simon Kucher & Partners International as well as Van Veen International.
AMAC leads industrial projects supporting both individual companies and industry partners in the implementation of complex business projects. This includes sales and marketing activities, strategy development together with management of innovation projects. Furthermore, AMAC advises on mergers and acquisitions in the field of high-performance materials.
Michael Effing, Founder and CEO explains "I founded this company in order to offer the customer a sustainable connection between technical research and the business world. Michael Effing has over 25 years of International Management experience in the Chemical Industry (Advanced Materials and Composites). Most recently, he was the President of DSM Composite Resins in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Previously, Michael Effing was a Global Executive Manager at Huntsman, Johns Manville, Owens Corning and DuPont. He has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (RWTH Aachen). Michael Effing remains Chairman of the board of the Federation of Reinforced Plastics, AVK, in Frankfurt as well as Vice President of the Board of the General Association of the Plastics Processing Industry GKV, Bad Homburg.
