SAMPE to Honour New Class of Fellows at SAMPE 2013

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) will honour the 2013 class of SAMPE Fellows at SAMPE 2013, on May 6, 2013 in Long Beach, California, US.

The SAMPE Fellow Award recognises SAMPE members for their distinguished, lifelong contributions in the fields of materials and processes. Since its inception in 1982, only 134 distinguished individuals have been designated as a SAMPE Fellow.

The 2013 SAMPE Fellows:

  • William Avery Ph.D., Boeing Associate Technical Fellow, Boeing Advanced Structures Technology, Seattle, Washington
  • Kenji Iizuka, Posthumous Award, President and Owner, Iizuka Technosystems, Kyoto, Japan
  • Max L. Lake, President, Applied Sciences, Cedarville, Ohio
  • James K. Sutter Ph.D., Organic/Polymer Chemist, NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio
  • Shanying Zeng, Ph.D., Boeing Technical Fellow, Boeing Research and Technology, Seattle, Washington

The 2013 SAMPE Fellows will be honoured at a special Fellow Banquet on Monday evening, May 6 at the Renaissance Hotel. This event will take place during the SAMPE 2013 Conference and Exhibition.
