AOC has opened “AOC House,” the new and expanded office and warehouse centre for AOC (UK) Ltd. and AOC Europe operations designed to strengthen AOC's commitment to the composites industry growth.
According to AOC, the centre improves their effectiveness and efficiencies by relocating and consolidating functions and services that serve the UK and Europe within a single, focused campus. The centre was created using state-of-the art design principles and uses advanced digital technologies to better serve customer needs.
The scope of AOC House includes:
• AOC (UK Ltd.) staff,
• AOC Europe staff,
• Warehousing, blending and demonstration facilities,
• Technical support, and
• Research and development laboratory.
AOC says the new centre, located at Brantham in Essex, UK, expands the distributor’s warehousing and manufacturing space to 5,110 sq m (55,000 sq. ft.) to better accommodate current needs and allow for projected growth.
“As our products continue to expand into new markets and our company grows, we need to have the right facility in the right location,” said Peter Cheshire, Managing Director, AOC (UK) Ltd. “Brantham was the best choice for our new facility because of a history where we can serve customers and provide convenience to valued employees.”
Stephen Olle, Managing Director, Europe, added “AOC House is an investment in the future. It will help customers expand the reach of AOC technology in power and energy, water and wastewater, manufacturing, infrastructure, construction, transportation and other market sectors.”
Composite products, based on polyurethane technologies from global chemical company Huntsman, are taking centre stage at a design exhibition at the Design Museum Gent, Belgium.
In late November, the 14 project partners in the MoPaHyb consortium developing a modular production plant for hybrid high-performance components wrapped up their successful efforts with a two-day symposium in Pfinztal, Germany.
