Dow Automotive Systems will present its latest’s solutions and offerings to achieve light weighting with innovative composite technology comprising both resins and adhesives at JEC Europe next week. Dow say that with this combined portfolio they are a relevant market player in providing the industry with a comprehensive and synergistic composite portfolio.
Products to be featured will be VORAFORE resins and BETAFORCE, BETAFUSE, BETAMATE adhesives. Dow explain that focus will be on new generation carbon fibre composites aimed at passenger vehicles starting from premium OEMs, as well as composite bonding adhesive solutions enabling lightweight through multilateral assembly in both passenger vehicles and renewed efforts tailored around Commercial Transportation.
The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) has partnered with Composites Australia to provide Australian civil and composite engineers with access to the latest knowledge on an innovative reinforcing solution to the costly corrosion of concrete infrastructure.
Composite products, based on polyurethane technologies from global chemical company Huntsman, are taking centre stage at a design exhibition at the Design Museum Gent, Belgium.
The Brazilian composite sector expects to close 2018 with a turnover of US$ 685 million, a high of 3.8% compared to the previous year.
