North American Composites Purchases New Midwest Facility

24 July 2012

North American Composites (NAC) has purchased a 41,000 square foot facility in Mishawaka, Indiana from where NAC will service customers across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois.

NAC says that improvements to this facility are underway and will include additional truck docks, a tanker unloading station, installation of a fibreglass mat slitter, and temperature controlled rooms for the storage of initiators, vinyl ester resins and gel coats. NAC will have the capability to fill drums and totes as well as clean returned totes. These improvements are expected to be completed by September when NAC expects to begin making shipments from this location.

“Expanding into the Midwest market and operating our own facility is a notable achievement,” said Mark Brost, Vice President & General Manager, North American Composites. “NAC’s slogan, National Coverage with Local Service holds true, as NAC will provide a complete channel to market for our supplier partners in one of the largest and most diverse composites markets in America. NAC is enthusiastic about this opportunity and is committed to being the premier supplier to the composites industry.”
