Price Increase for CoREZYN and Silmar Products

21 August 2012

Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division is raising the price of CoREZYN and Silmar brand polyester and vinyl ester resins, gel coats, colorants and putties $0.05 per pound, effective on all shipments on or after September 1st, 2012.

According to Interplastic, costs have escalated on several key raw materials used in the manufacture of polyester and vinyl ester resins, due to the recent increases in energy costs as well as plant outages. It says Feedstock prices continue to be volatile and are expected to stay that way for the balance of the year. Interplastic is working with suppliers to minimise these costs and their impact on customers.
