CCP Composites Established from the Merger of Cray Valley and Cook Composites & Polymers

18 October 2011

CCP Composites has been established from the merger of Cray Valley and Cook Composites & Polymers to develop, manufacture, and distribute products used for the manufacture of composites materials.

CCP will have the dual function as a producer of unsaturated polyester resins, gel coats, vinyl esters and other derivatives, and as a specialized distributor of products and services for the composites industry. This includes all the composites activities of the Total Group worldwide, specifically the production activities of Cray Valley, Cook Composites and Polymers and the distribution business Composites One.

CCP is launching its new identity which they say highlights the main advantage of the company: a worldwide structure, which provides innovative solutions for sustainable composites. “Innovation is at the heart of our strategy,” explains Dominique Vincent, Chairman and CEO of CCP Composites, who also adds, “sustainable development is the key for composites growth in the future.”

The company has three specialised research centres where they say numerous projects are conceived: the development of styrene-free products, biosourced products (Enviroguard), fire retardant halogen-free products (Fireblock), and cleaning agents without traditional solvents (Thermaclean).
