Dow Automotive Receives Quality Certification for Aftermarket Adhesives

29 November 2011

Dow Automotive Systems has received quality assurance certification from Thatcham, according to the Thatcham TQA (Thatcham Quality Assurance) standard for their aftermarket glass bonding product Betaseal 1580.

Dow also received certifications for their Betaseal X 2500 for automotive windscreen bonding and Betamate 2098 for structural body repair.
Dow explains that Thatcham also audited the manufacturing site of Dow in Germany, the Schkopau plant near Leipzig.

According to Dow, Thatcham is a verification programme for the assessment and recognition of automotive products, equipment and services. They say that TQA concentrates on building and verifying quality in the manufacture, design and performance of a product and/or service.
