3A Composites Core Materials Launches New Core

31 January 2011

3A Composites has launched Airex T92.200 structural PET-foam core to provide the T92 portfolio with another choice of density.

Designed to meet the needs of highly loaded applications, 3A Composites say that Airex T92.200 is designed to provide high strength and stiffness as well as good fatigue resistance. According to 3A Composites, it is resistant to high temperatures and chemicals while being thermoformable, and 3A Composites will target structures asking for very high mechanical properties such as floors in automotive applications, transoms and bulkheads in marine or highly loaded sections in windmill blades. Our customers now have a very extensive range of densities and therefore performance levels of Airex T92 to perfectly meet each applications very specific requirements, says Philipp Angst, Product Manager of Airex AG.
