ACMA Seeks Entries to their ACE Competition

06 December 2011

Competition for the 2012 Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE), hosted by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA), is now open.
The ACE program is designed to recognise outstanding achievement and innovation in technology, manufacturing and product development.
“ACE awards are given to products which are judged to have significant market impact and presence while exemplifying the use of composites,” says ACMA President Lori Luchak of Miles Fiberglass & Composites.  “They recognise design and engineering superiority in traditional and emerging markets as well as improvements and innovation in equipment and manufacturing processes. The winning products represent the best of the best in our industry.”
The ACE competition is divided into three categories: design, manufacturing and market growth. ACMA say two awards are presented in each category, ranging from the Innovation in Green Technology Award for design to the Infinite Possibility Award for market growth. Competition for all categories is open to composites manufacturers. Equipment suppliers, software developers, end-users and academics are eligible to compete for specific awards.
2012 ACE winners will be showcased at COMPOSITES 2012, which will be held February 21-23 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Backed by more than two decades of experience and a proven track record of delivering for attendees and exhibitors, COMPOSITES is the top event of its kind in North America, attracting participants from more than 650 companies in 40 countries.
