Composites One has formed an alliance with the 3M’s Renewable Energy Division to meet the needs of the emerging wind energy industry with products geared specifically toward wind turbine manufacturers.
3M Renewable Energy will offer a mix of products, including a variety of tapes, adhesives, and fillers and will work together with Composites One to develop custom product solutions.
“Composites One has established itself as a leader in the renewable wind energy market,” said Dave Smith, Composites One Power Generation Market Manager. “By forming this alliance with 3M we will be able to offer cutting-edge 3M innovative products to our customers as well as all the other process consumables and composite materials they might need to be successful.”
“3M Renewable Energy products, along with the breadth of our full composites product line, and our unique technical and process expertise, will make it easy for our customers to consider Composites One the ideal source for their renewable wind energy process consumables and composite material needs,” added Smith.
Sharp & Tappin has installed and commissioned a Compcut 200 composite plate saw at Renault Sport Racing in Enstone, Oxfordshire, UK.
Electric GT Holdings and SPV Racing recently unveiled the race-ready version of the EPCS V2.3 Tesla P100DL at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The car features lightweight body parts made using Bcomp's ampliTex and powerRibs natural fibre composite reinforcement products, contributing to a 500 kg weight reduction over the road edition.
