Boeing 787 Dreamliner Achieves Initial Airworthiness Milestone

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has achieved initial airworthiness, clearing the way for test crews to be onboard the airplane during future flights.

Nearly 60 total flight hours have been logged between the first two composite-based 787 airplanes.

In total, the flight test program will log over 3,000 hours before completion late this year.

All Nippon Airways of Japan is scheduled to be the first recipient of the Dreamliner, with an estimated delivery date in the 4th quarter of 2010.
