CCP Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary

25 February 2010

Cook Composites and Polymers (CCP) has recently celebrated its 20 year anniversary. CCP was formed out of a joint-venture partnership between Total Chimie of Paris, France and the Cook Paint and Varnish Company of North Kansas City, Missouri.

As part of the company’s strategy of expansion, it has participated in the purchase or partnership of approximately 12 manufacturing and distribution companies over its 20 year history.

There have been many highlights since CCP's inception, but some of the most recent are: recognition in the area of ""green"" chemistry development, having received the 13th Annual Presidential Green Chemistry Award administered by the EPA in 2009. To further promote education in the industry, CCP opened the doors to a new technology training center in 2007. This facility supports the education of CCP customers, employees, and other professionals with industry related topics in both a classroom and hands-on environment. Many of the classes have been formed from their well known Applications Guide (Cook Book), now in the 11th edition. This valuable resource publication has served the industry for many, many years.

Headquartered in Kansas City, MO, CCP has manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. CCP affiliate companies include TOTAL, Cray Valley, Sartomer, Reacciones Quimicas, Peninsula Polymers and Progress Plastics among others.
