Cray Valley Increases Prices on UPRs and Derivates

Cray Valley have confirmed a price increase of 150 € per metric ton (0.15 €/Kg), unless specific agreement, effective for all orders shipped on or after September 7, 2009, on all UPRs and their derivates sold to the Composites and Cast Polymer Industries in Europe, North Africa and Middle East.

Philippe Vindevoghel, Commercial Director Composites Europe, attributed this increase as “an unavoidable response to the sharp raise of prices of all main key feedstock’s and raw materials utilized to manufacture polyester resins over the summer.”Ashland announces resin and gelcoat price increase for EMEA

Ashland Performance Materials is increasing the price of its unsaturated polyester resins and gelcoats produced and sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) by €100 per ton effective Sept. 1, 2009, or at the earliest possible time thereafter depending on individual customer contracts.

This price increase is driven by the continued rise in costs for certain key base raw materials. Responding to changing market conditions allows Ashland to continue to provide innovative products and industry-leading product support that add value for customers.
