Following the success of the Bauer Supreme One95 ice hockey goalie stick, launched earlier this year, Oxeon have collaborated with Bauer once again to incorporate carbon fabric in both the shaft and blade of its latest stick.
By adding Oxeon’s spread tow carbon fabric, Textreme, manufacturers claim that they reduced the overall weight of the stick and achieved enhanced performance.
Thanks to the fabric’s structural qualities, both companies say that the Bauer Vapor X:60 is ideally suited to elite level ice hockey players and helps to optimize balance and powerful, accurate shooting performance.
""Our customers, both elite and amateur, have high expectations for our products. We must constantly innovate in order to continuously enhance performance. Oxeon's spread tow carbon fabric, TeXtreme, delivers uniform weight distribution plus improved mechanical properties combined with significant weight reduction. These features have allowed us to take the Vapor X:60 and One95 sticks to an entirely new level of performance,” said Adam Gans, Director of Product Development, Stick Category, at Bauer Hockey Inc.
Andreas Josefsson, Vice-President of Business Development at Oxeon, commented “The confidence instilled by Bauer Hockey in TeXtreme reinforcement for manufacturing their elite products reflects both the high quality and innovation of our carbon fabrics. It has been truly a wonderful experience to join forces with Bauer Hockey to develop these high-end products.”
