Composites One and MVP Announce Partnership Agreement in China

Composites One China have entered a distribution agreement with Magnum Venus Plastech (MVP).

MVP, already a distribution partner to Composites One U.S.A., will also allow Composites One China to offer those interested in closed mould conversion the opportunity to learn what equipment and systems will best suit their needs.

“We have focused on developing and working with customers on closed mould conversions since day one in China and have had great success,” said Don Hairhoger, President Composites One Asia. “The ability to have the experience and support of MVP and their team, like industry-renowned Light Resin Transfer Molding (LRTM) expert Charles Tur, will be a welcomed addition to our closed mould efforts.”

Hairhoger further added, “MVP will also make it possible for Composites One China to offer some of the best equipment available for a variety of composites processes.”

Composites One recently formed the Closed Mold Alliance, which offers customers turn-key approach to closed mould conversion.

To ensure that Composites One China has the proper support from Magnum Venus Plastech, for other composite applications MVP will have International Technical Specialist Dave Smith make scheduled trips to China to conduct comprehensive customer technical training.

Mr. Smith has worked for MVP for nearly 20 years, and is an expert in how each piece of equipment operates. The in-depth training will include the installation and commissioning of new systems, proper spray up technique for chop and gel coat, maintenance procedures, general troubleshooting and more.

“We look at equipment as an integral part of the ability to process our wide range of materials and therefore having the broad range of technology that MVP has to offer allows us to complete our product offering,” added Hairhoger. “Composites One wants to be associated with the industry leaders and we look at MVP as a strong leader in equipment technology.”
