General Plastics Receives 2009 Globe Award

20 May 2009

General Plastics Manufacturing Company had won the Washington Trade Council’s prestigious Globe Award for 2009.

The Globe Award is given annually to companies who demonstrate how they have expanded local international trade capacity, made substantial contributions in jobs and revenue, improved the community’s trade-status, and heightened awareness of the importance of international trade to the local economy.

Focused on the production of engineered high density rigid and flexible polyurethane foam General Plastics’ business activity and revenue is about evenly split between the sale of materials of construction, and sales of parts fabricated from its proprietary products and other materials.

The company will be honoured for its achievement at the 16th Annual World Trade Center Tacoma Awards Dinner on May 21, 2009. Presented by KeyBank, company president Floyd Henry will receive the award at the Hotel Murano event on behalf of General Plastics’ employees and ownership.
