This year, from 27 to 29 October, Composites Europe will present technologies and products covering the entire value creation chain of fibre-reinforced materials for the fourth time.
Composites Europe will showcase innovative solutions for major sectors of application, such as the automotive sector, the aerospace industry as well as the building and construction sector – tailor-made to fit the current requirements on material properties, such as lightweight construction, energy efficiency or improved corrosion resistance. The start of Composites Europe will be marked by the International AVK Convention and the 2nd Biocomposites Congress.
350 international exhibitors are expected at Composites Europe 2009, among them key players of the industry such as Huntsman, AOC Resins and Exel Composites. DSM Composites Resins, SGL Carbon, Henkel and RAMPF Tooling will also be represented this year for the first time.
The International AVK Convention and the 2nd Biocomposites Congress will mark the start of the fair For the fourth time, the International Convention of the AVK (Industrievereinigung verstärkter Kunststoffe) will mark the start of the fair. From 26 to 27 October, some 500 participants are expected at the International Congress Centre Stuttgart (ICS) who will take advantage of the lectures to catch up on innovations in the field of reinforced and filled plastics.
For the first time, the nova-Institut will hold its Biocomposites Congress as part of the annual AVK Convention and of Composites Europe. The Congress will focus on the latest developments in materials and products which will be presented and discussed in Stuttgart. The Congress targets materials specialists, developers, manufacturers and users from the automotive, building, consumer goods and packaging industries.
Composites Europe is organised by Reed Exhibitions in cooperation with the European industry association EuCIA and the international specialist journal Reinforced Plastics. From its very beginnings, Composites Europe has also had the support of AVK - Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V.

The Middlesex production facility of Web Industries’ Aerospace market team has earned accreditation from Nadcap (the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) covering the facility’s composite cutting and kitting operations.
