InsulFoam, the manufacturer of moulded expanded polystyrene, has joined AltusGroup as an Innovation Partner.
AltusGroup Innovation Partners contribute their technical expertise and marketing strength toward the advancement of CarbonCast technology made using C-GRID carbon fibre grid reinforcement.
InsulFoam is the largest United States producer of block moulded expanded polystyrene (EPS) manufactured under the InsulFoam and R-Tech brands for numerous building and construction applications. InsulFoam also offers design and engineering capabilities to its customers.
“The addition of InsulFoam to the AltusGroup team will help our customers, users, and manufacturing members understand how EPS can be optimized to improve the performance of our CarbonCast High Performance Insulated Wall Panels and Architectural Cladding Panels,” says John Carson, chairman of AltusGroup’s marketing committee. “EPS coupled with C-GRID-enabled CarbonCast technology can help deliver outstanding R-value in these products. Richard D. Holen, Strategic Marketing Manager for InsulFoam, will be the dedicated contact for the AltusGroup and its various manufacturing partners. He will participate on the organization’s various marketing, technical and productivity committees.
Cobra International is celebrating its 40th year and has commissioned a book that will look at 40 key projects and 40 key people that were integral to the company’s growth. ‘Klaus Simmer and The King Cobra: A breakthrough in surfboard design and production technology’ is an extract article from this book and a breakthrough composites product for Cobra, establishing its presence as a manufacturer of high performance windsurf boards and creating global visibility for the Cobra brand.
Technical Fibre Products will showcase its Optiveil nonwovens at China Composites Expo in Shanghai on 5-7 September.
