Three influential speakers, Director of NASA's Innovative Partnerships Program Office Douglas Comstock, Department of Homeland Security Director of Research Dr. Starnes Walker and Donald A. Manzullo of the 16th Congressional District of Illinois, will make keynote presentations at of SAMPE '07, June 3-7, 2007 in Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Comstock's presentation, ""NASA’s New Strategic Directions and the Importance of Industrial Collaborations"", will outline NASA's goals for the next 10 years. One of the most prevalent technical areas common to most of the strategic goals NASA has set forth is materials science a field that remains paramount to the future of space exploration. Mr. Comstock will present on Tuesday, June 5.
Dr. Walker is presenting ""The Path Forward for Science and Technology at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)."" He will discuss the DHS outreach approach that the Science and Technology Directorate has shaped to maximize success in delivery of intellectual capital, solutions and capabilities. His talk will take place Wednesday, June 6.
Rep. Manzullo will give his presentation on ""The Foundation for Our National Strength,"" which will focus on the correlation between the health of the manufacturing sector and the health of the defense industrial base. His presentation will address his efforts to strengthen the U.S. industrial base. Rep. Manzullo addresses SAMPE '07 on Thursday, June 7.
In addition to these keynote presentations, the SAMPE '07 Conference and Exhibition features 55 sessions, 6 panels, over 280 presentations and 250 exhibiting companies.
