The full conference program for Composites+Polycon ’09, to be held January 15-17 in Tampa, Fla., is now available from the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA).
This year’s program includes more than 75 education sessions and technical paper presentations that focus on topics such as: business management; composites for the future; sustainability and green composites; codes and architectural composites; regulatory issues, and more.
New at Composites+Polycon this year will be a General Session with leading economist Dr. Roger Tutterow, a New Product Pavilion, Roundtable Discussions, and a Risk Communications Workshop--all geared to helping businesses thrive in 2009 and beyond. Attendees visiting the exhibit hall will have access more than 200 composites industry suppliers and vendors - all in one location - from whom they’ll learn about new products and applications as well as the latest technologies and innovations. Full conference registrants may attend all education sessions as well as the exhibit hall.
“As a small composites manufacturer working in a down economy, I am counting on Composites+Polycon to provide me with the latest innovations, product ideas, tools and strategies to stay ahead,” says Monty Felix, Alaglass Pools, St. Matthews, S.C., who serves as ACMA President-Elect. “The education programming focuses on many key issues, including sessions on sustainability and green composites, which will help me transition my manufacturing operations going forward.”
In addition to the exhibits, live demonstrations, expert speakers, and comprehensive education sessions, there will be a myriad of networking opportunities, including round-table discussions, an awards luncheon where ACMA recognizes composites innovations and a grand-prize draw of a new Century Model 1850 Boat.
