Exousia Advanced Materials' composite truck body, manufactured using Exousia's Truss Core panels, has recently received favourable reviews.
Truss Core is an RPA-based structural core that is manufactured through a strategic alliance with Transportation System Solutions, LLC (TSS) of High Point, NC. Truss Core panels are a lightweight honeycomb composite panel designed to replace plywood and metal walls, and hardwood floors, in truck, trailer, bus, RV and other transportation vehicles. Truss Core panels provide weight reduction and increased product life expectancy solutions to the transportation industry.
Ron Hughes, Vice President Sales and Marketing for Transportation Systems Solutions, explained, ""TSS built a full composite truck body for Atterbery Truck Sales, made from Exousia's RPA, a proprietary TPO (thermoplastic olefin) resin. The body construction had minimal fasteners and was bonded together with structural adhesive.""
Mr. Hughes added, ""We think this concept and construction method are the wave of the future.""
Mr. Ted Atterbery, Jr., owner of Atterbery Truck Sales, said ""We have rigorously tested the Truss Core truck body over ten-thousand (10,000) miles during a three month period with no issues or complaints. In fact, during one test, the outside of the truck body took some abuse that would have ripped a traditional aluminium side apart. The Truss Core material just got scratched a little.""
