FOS&S to Promote Optical Monitoring at Composites Europe

17 September 2006

FOS&S has developed an optical monitoring system to measure strain and temperature in a distributed way inside composite materials.

The integration of fibre optic sensors into composite structures allows continuous real-time structural health monitoring of these structures, and FOS&S will be promoting this system at Composites Europe, the European Trade Fair and Forum for composites, technology and applications. Over 200 exhibitors from 20 countries will be presenting the entire value chain of the composites industry.

The event takes place in the Exhibition Centre in Essen (Germany) from the 20-22 September 2006.
