Hexcel’s Composites GBU Increase Carbon Fibre Prices

31 January 2005

Hexcel’s Composites GBU have increased prices across its carbon fibre-based product range, with immediate effect.

The double digit percentage increases are dependent upon product form and will affect Hexcel’s carbon fibre yarn, prepregs and other fibre-reinforced matrix products.

Bill Hunt, President of Hexcel’s Composites Business Unit commented. “These price increases are now unavoidable due to increases in the costs of raw materials – and their limited availability. Increasing oil and other energy costs have further compounded the situation.”
