AOC and DOW Increase Resin Prices

AOC and DOW are due to increase the price of their resin products from August.

AOC will increase prices by US $0.07 per pound on all resins and US $0.09 per pound on all gel coats, pigments and b-sides sold in the United States and Canada shipped on or after August 16, 2004.

Effective August 1, 2004, or as contract terms allow, Dow Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) will be increasing its prices for epoxy resins in North America and Middle East and Africa (MEAF), Indian Subcontinent and Asia Pacific.

In North America, Dow is announcing an increase of $0.10/lb for its liquid, solid epoxy and standard brominated resins, as well as an increase of $0.08/lb for its solid solution epoxy resins. The increase for specialty resins varies by product.

In MEAF, the Indian Subcontinent and Asia Pacific, Dow has announced a 200 $/MT increase for its liquid, solid epoxy and standard brominated resins, as well as an increase of 150 $/MT for its solid solution. The increase for specialty resins varies by product.
