Omanoil Praised For Ecological FRP Underground Fuel Storage Tanks

Omanoil have been recognized by STP Malaysia, a leading supplier of underground fuel tanks, for their outstanding care and respect for the environment.

Following a visit to the Sultanate by Bob Bow, Managing Director of STP Malaysia, Omanoil have been recognized as pioneers in the use of fibre-glass technology for underground petroleum storage tanks in the Sultanate of Oman.

Omanoil have successfully completed the installation of hundreds of FRP tanks manufactured to internationally acclaimed UL standards.

Fuel companies across the world have a social responsibility to protect the environment of the communities in which they operate. Omanoil takes pride in their pro-active measures and innovative technologies for the protection of environment. STP Malaysia's DWT (double wall tanks) are just one of Omanoil's methods of ensuring the local environment is protected.

Omanoil purposefully selected underground tanks that were made of non-corrosive materials for total environmental protection – this, coupled with their extreme care in installation and construction means that the environment remains in safe hands. Adhering to global safety and environmental standards is a given.

Over 300 FRP tanks have been installed in Oman with complete success and no negative impact on the environment.
