AOC and Interplastic Increase Resin Prices

14 May 2004

Further to recent price rise announcements, AOC and Interplastic have increased their resin prices.

AOC will increase prices by US $0.04 per pound on all its resin products sold in the United States and Canada shipped on or after June 1, 2004. This is in addition to the price increase issued last week for Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division is raising the prices of all CoREZYN and Silmar polyester, vinyl ester, specialty resins, gel coats, colorants, and putties $0.04 per pound. The increase will apply to all shipments delivered on or after June 1, 2004.

“This increase is necessitated by continued increases in the costs of polyester raw materials, transportation, containers and energy,” explained Steve Wetzel, National Sales Manager for Interplastics.
