Reichhold Make Further Resin Price Increases

Reichhold have also increased their prices for unsaturated polyester resins in Latin America.

Reichhold has announced a price increase of $ 1.20 Mexican pesos per kilogram (approximately $ .105 USD per kg) on all unsaturated polyester resins sold in Central America, Perú, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico effective for orders shipped after May 11, 2004.

“The escalation of our raw material costs continues unabated,” explains Bruce Fawcett, Reichhold senior vice president, commercial. “In addition to steep increases for styrene, glycols and other petroleum-based products, we must still contend with rising energy costs, chiefly natural gas, and increased costs in transportation and steel,” Fawcett concluded.
