FRP Materials for Australian Bridge Applications

07 September 2001

This workshop, to be held on 12 September at the University of Sydney, will review some current US applications, local experiences, and design rules, to assess if these materials are ready for widespread use in Australian infrastructure.

The overall objective of the course is to present a true assessment of the suitability of FRP materials for bridge structures in Australia. The focus will be on asset-holder issues, presented by people who have experience with bridges and/or FRP materials. The key presentations will include a review of materials, technologies, successes and failures of these FRP's in bridge applications in USA.
