China's Glass Sector Consumes 40 Tons of Molybdendum

China's glass sector consumes about 40 tons of molybdenum annually in recent years, according to official sources.

Glass fiber production is the largest consumer of molybdenum, swallowing 75 per cent of the total consumption. Production of quartz glass needs about 25 molybdenum crucibles annually, which in turn consumes about six tons of molybdenum; production of glass shell consumes about five tons.
