19 October 2001

Advanced Technical Products’ Intellitec Division has successfully entered into a $5.1 million long-term contract agreement with the Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO, for the production of composite flap fairing components on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet utilizing Intellitec's resin transfer molding (RTM) process.

The contract calls for Intellitec to produce 30 parts per aircraft for the next five years of production. Joseph deCillis, Intellitec RTM Production Program Manager stated, "This is a significant event for Intellitec in that we increase the use of RTM on the Navy's most advanced strike fighter." According to Gerald Sutton, Vice President of RTM, "Intellitec has been producing F/A-18E/F components for several years, and this increased application further capitalizes on the advantages of the RTM process in the aerospace market. Intellitec is the only non-prime RTM contractor qualified on the F/A-18E/F."

Intellitec, located in DeLand, Florida, is a supplier of advanced composite structures for the aerospace and defense industry.
