ACMG reactivates plant construction

01 June 2001

The ACMG consortium (Advance Composite Manufacturing Group), teamed by Peruvian and American companies, will reactivate the construction of a fiberglass tubes producing plant, which is to start producing within the 2nd half of this year. Situated in the southern region of Peru, the plant was erected to supply the Majes irrigation project in Arequipa, but it was closed down when the project was finished. The plant will supply the domestic market only, allowing Peru to stop importing tubes from Colombia. Citius, one of ACMG members, holds between 20% and 25% of the Peruvian composite materials market.
