Loven Named Senior VP, Sika Industry

23 February 2001

Sika Industry, a leading supplier of sealing, bonding and acoustic systems, announced the appointment of William E. Loven to Senior Vice President of Industry Division.

In this position, Loven will be responsible for Sika Industry operations throughout the U.S.A. Prior to joining Sika, Loven spent five years as General Manager at ITW Plexus. Loven established Plexus as the leading brand of structural adhesive used in the composites and boatbuilding industries. ""Sika already has a highly regarded brand name and is the leading supplier of polyurethane adhesives and sealants in many sectors,"" said Loven. ""Our strategy is to introduce revolutionary new technology that simplifies assembly and provides better long-term durability in bonding and sealing applications for transportation, marine, and recreational vehicle industries."" Loven adds this will be accomplished by introducing new products that eliminate the need for surface preparation or chemical primers, and by supplying faster curing polyurethanes than those presently on the market.
