Lentus innovates in the field of advanced composite products and structures. Whether your passion is for aerospace, energy, medical, automotive or motorsport, from aircraft systems to Olympic winning bikes, Lentus are active across a wide spectrum.  Lentus design, develop and produce composite components and complex engineering assemblies where the composite elements are the enabling technology within the wider system. Composite design, system design and composite to metal joining are particular areas of expertise for Lentus’ design team.

In order to satisfy the requirements of such a rapidly developing business, Lentus is preparing to occupy the first phase of the Horizon Technology Park in Eynsham, Oxfordshire. This state of the art 100,000sqft facility will be completed this year and will house the Product Innovation and Technology Centre as well as the Advanced Manufacturing Centre of Lentus Composites.

Job Description:

We are currently looking for Lead Engineers to join our team to develop a new portfolio of composite products in support of growing customer demand for innovative, technically advanced components.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership on assigned projects to ensure financial and contractual execution through established company procedures
  • Deliver professional, high-quality results to customers (internal and external)
  • Support project proposal development including scope definition, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects
  • Estimate budgets and be accountable for tracking costs of projects and for meeting project budget targets
  • Work with the Business Unit Director to lead the engineering plan and gain formal acceptance
  • Lead project teams including coaching and technical direction to meet project deliverables
  • Work closely with other disciplines including Supply Chain & Manufacturing
  • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders
  • Take responsibility for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency within the team

The successful applicant:

We are looking for someone who brings a high degree of technical understanding, therefore, an engineering degree is essential, as is demonstrable industrial experience (ideally Technology, Aerospace, Automotive or Motorsport). Proven experience in technical project management or project leadership positions with practical knowledge of New Product Introduction is a must.
