The 6th annual international AMI conference on Wind Turbine Blade Manufacture will take place from the 30 November - 2 December 2015 at the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany, conveniently located at the international airport. The event begins with an evening Welcome Cocktail Reception and exhibition on the 30th November for all delegates and speakers followed by a 2-day focused technical programme.
Wind energy is now a vital part of world markets with 320 GW installed by the end of 2013. The earliest wind turbines have been operational for decades, giving valuable data on components and reliability. Installations are now in progress in more hostile environments bringing new challenges to the designers such as large rotors for low wind and anti-icing systems in arctic conditions. Competition is driving the manufacturing industry to develop more economic and efficient technologies to produce rotor blades, such as automation and new resins and reinforcements, and modular blades. Another challenge is developing global manufacturing with consistent quality and material supply. Wind farmers are increasingly taking extended service contracts with OEMs, while legacy blade replacement and re-powering form a growing market for blade manufacturers.
Wind Turbine Blade Manufacture 2015 conference brings together wind energy farmers, wind turbine producers, blade manufacturers, design engineers, composites manufacturing experts, researchers, developers, service engineers, materials and equipment suppliers, to discuss the technology and economics of producing reliable year-round wind energy, focusing on the key component, the rotor.
