JEC World will take place from 14th - 16th March in Halls 5a and 6 of Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, France, for 3 days of Networking and Knowledge sharing among Composites professionals and end-users.
Attendees and exhibitors are registered from over 100 countries. “Innovation is at the centre of the Show,” says Frédérique MUTEL, JEC Group President & CEO. “Incremental or disruptive innovation in composites makes the success of JEC World. The new paradigms of our century are lightness, resistance, flexibility, customisation, cycles acceleration. Composites meet this quest. During the last twelve months, we have worked hard to analyse end-users’ requirements. We have shaped the show to facilitate the interaction between the composites industry and the final market. New populations such as architects, creators, developers, designers and style engineers, should join. Consequently, we expect a significant growth for JEC World 2017,” she adds.
Following the success of the Planets that appeared last year in the show, JEC World are bringing them back in even bigger areas with brand new parts and new end-users focuses. Attendees will once again find the AERO Planet, sponsored by Huntsman, and the AUTO Planet, sponsored by Hexion, KDX, and UBC - Crosslink. Two additional Planets have also been added to the floor - the BUILDING Planet and the BETTER LIVING Planet that will include Composites parts that are and will improve people’s everyday life.
The Automotive Composites Circle, sponsored by The Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Pure Michigan, an exclusive gathering of top level Producers, Manufacturers and Users of Composites in the Automotive Industry will take place on the 2nd day of the Show. The ‘by-invitation-only’ presentations and networking session will highlight the topic, ‘The collaborative process in the automotive Industry, learning experience from the State of Michigan’. Renowned speakers from The Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Faurecia, Ford Research & Innovation centre, IACMI, Leichtbau, Continental Structural Plastics or Bcomp will take the stage to exchange a few ideas. Also, Leilani MÜNTER, Electric GT Pilot, will give a speech at this occasion.
During the 3 days of the event, 6 conferences, sponsored by Altair, involving 53 speakers from around the world will provide the most updated content the composites Industry could reveal. 3 of them will be dedicated to end-using markets:
“We are very confident with JEC World 2017 session as the show floor has been fully booked for weeks and registration figures are increasing compared to 2016 which was already an exceptional session.“ says Anne Manuèle Hebert, JEC World Show Director. “There are so many events not be missed during JEC World such as the new Startup Booster programme on day 1, the JEC Innovation Awards Ceremony on day 2 with keynote speaker Thomas Coville, new solo round-the-world record on maxi trimaran and many other special events. Three days will be hardly enough to cover JEC World 2017 and its very complete offer.” she concludes.
