Compotec, ‘Excellence in Composites’, now in its 9th edition, is going to open from 29-31 March 2017 at CarraraFiere Exhibition Centre, being the only trade show in Italy entirely dedicated to composite materials and their multiple applications.
Compotec addresses all industries that use composite materials, such as aerospace, aviation, automotive, military, medical, construction, design, wind and boating, and is held simultaneously with the 15th edition of Seatec, ‘International Exhibition of Technology, Subcontracting and Design for Boats, Yachts and Ships’, with the aim of bringing together in a single exhibition manufacturers, distributors, universities, research institutions, associations and organisations, to provide companies with highly professional tools of promotion and business.
Thanks to the ICE / ITA - Italian Trade Agency co-operation, the 9th Compotec will further increase the attendance of buyers and contractors by organising a delegation of international operators, both European and non-European, almost covering all markets, that will directly meet Compotec exhibitors in the special B2B area reserved at this purpose.
Compotec will also present a very high quality programme of side events: conferences, workshops and seminars on the most topical issues, such as the sustainability of composite materials, the project of composite panels, 3D printing and related technologies, the coupling of thermoplastic and thermoset matrices and the use of composites in aviation. This is possible thanks to prestigious partners as Octima, Assocompositi, University of Perugia, Turin Polytechnic, Senaf, just to name a few.
Innovation will also be the star at the Start-up Arena, a special area dedicated to innovative companies performing, through the elevator pitch, the most important features of their business.
The goal that Compotec is pursuing is to represent a reference point for the Italian composite industry, to contribute to the strengthening of a progress-oriented community of the whole category, to facilitate the interaction between Italian and European producers and to stimulate the relations with Universities and research centres, by acting as an accelerator of innovation in the composite and boating sectors, both characterised by a high technological content.
